Hina, a nursing student who has just moved to Tokyo, is working herself to the bone to earn money for her tuition and living expenses. With the introduction of her neighbor Emiko, she tries her hand at sugar dating and working at a cabaret club, but she is confused by the unfamiliar situation. Furthermore, her mother, who lives far away, asks her to send money home, and Hina's life becomes increasingly difficult. The people around her are pursuing Hina without any ill intentions.

Making of
Born on January 30, 1995, in Hyogo Prefecture. In 2025, he released his first independent film as a director, "Rental Family." It received acclaim at numerous film festivals both domestically and internationally, including the Grand Prix at the 23rd Nakanoshima Film Festival, a nomination at the Hamburg Japanese Film Festival (Germany), and four nominations at the Okinawa NICE Film Festival. In December 2025, it had a limited one-week run at Shinjuku K's Cinema, achieving the rare feat of selling out every single day for an independent film. Its official release is scheduled for July 31, 2026. "Her Place Is Not Here" is his first short film as a director.
