In the 1990s and 2000s, I studied the process of writing film and television screenplays at Scenario Center (Main Course and Advanced Course). I then worked with the film production collective MOVIE KIDS, where I was involved in directing, screenwriting, editing, and other aspects of production. I also worked as a screenwriter for direct-to-video films at E&A Co., Ltd.
In 2023, I resumed creating independent films. I graduated from the Image Forum Institute of the Moving Image, Film Art Course (2023), and completed the CiNEAST Filmmaking Lab (October 2024 – March 2025).
■ In 2024, I completed the short film “Detective L: Prologue – ‘Seven,’ One in 250 Million” (graduation project at the Image Forum Institute).
■ In 2025, I completed the short films “The Daughter of the Yubinari Family” (graduation project at the CiNEAST Filmmaking Lab; Special Award at Spotlight Film Festival 2025; officially screened at Keihin Video Kikaku “The Fourth World (not) 3D”; Short Film Award at the 3.11 Jicosapo International Film Festival 2026) and “Whether to Call It Love Is Up to Each Individual” (selected for the 14th Yonago Film Jihen – 3-Minute Film Feast).
