Yoji Haneda, a young man who enjoys photography, visits his grandfather, who has dementia, for the first time in three years. Asked to take his grandfather’s portrait, Yoji struggles to raise his camera toward his grandfather, now barely resembling the man he once was. When memory is gone, what remains?
