Filmemacher Sakamoto wurde 1996 geboren und trat 2015 dem Filmklub spika1895 an der Universität Tokio bei. Er ist als Regisseur und Kameramann tätig. Sein jüngstes Filmprojekt Ame Ni Nuretai Kimochi gewann die Auszeichnung Rookie of the year des Hamamatsu-Filmfestivals und wurde für Preise bei zahlreichen weiteren Filmfestivals in Japan nominiert.
