The four friends Aoi, Daichi, Takeshi and Saori get together in a café. A birthday, a quit job, hidden feelings and the breakup of a relationship - typical topics for young adults. But surprisingly Saori's sister Mayumi is missing at their meeting. Worried, they go looking for her together. But things are different from what they seem because somebody in their midst has a dark secret.

Making of
"On a Strange Day", director Akira Matsuda leads the audience on the wrong track. Shallow classical music, a bright, light-flooded day, friends teasing each other lovingly but an abyss lurks behind the peaceful atmosphere. When the secret is revealed it will be too late. Supported by the Tokyo Kanda Fantastic Filmfest.
