The Last Scene

"In 2000, I founded the independent film group Hound Project. Since then I shoot three to four short independent action films a year. In this context, I have been doing action training to ensure and improve the safety and quality of my action scenes and sword fighting scenes. I am concerned with realistic action scenes and dramatic scenes of violence, thus protesting the real use of violence in my films. Since there were no events for screening independent films in Fukui, I organised one myself. Even today, the event is held twice a year, inviting films from inside and outside the prefecture."
