After graduating from high school, the elder brother moved to Tokyo intending to become a professional musician. His younger sister prayed that one day he would make his major label debut. But eventually, his dream did not come true and he returned to his hometown. Then one day, he finds his sister on a indie music site and realizes how talented she is. This inspires him, so he invites her to go fishing with him to propose an idea.
The
Making of
Nobuyoshi Kakinuma was born in Sendai in 1978. He earned his master's degree in engineering in 2003. In 2016, however, he was a finalist in the MPA/DHU Film Workshop x Tokyo International Film Festival Synopsis Competition and received an honorable mention in the NHK Chugoku-Shikoku Radio Drama Script Competition. In 2019, he won the Encouragement Award at the 3rd Kitemir Kawagoe Short Film Award and was nominated at the 2023 TOKYO Youth Film Festival. He also gave an ENBU seminar film directing course in 2023.
