Haruo Sugimura has just been released from prison when he is already offered a job. A loan shark hires him to collect money for a company in Osaka. Their methods are unscrupulous, their clients all the more desperate. Sugimura quickly gets to know the methods and personalities as well as the destruction the business causes.
