Ask for the Moon

Tomoko Miura is a senior in college who yearns to be a film director and continues to make independent films in her film club. She has always felt inferior to her older sister, Ryoko, who was a brilliant and perfect woman until her death. She is fed up with comparing herself to her older sister making her feel self-consciousness. She turns arrogant and self-indulgent toward the people around her, resulting in the loss of her lover and friends and a life of loneliness. Unsatisfied with her life, Tomoko decides to "retake" her life as if it were a movie.
