The
Making of
With "Our Escape", Tokyo Filmex prizewinner Nobuteru Uchida creates a very calm film, which draws its power from strong character representations. Although the setting is a parallel world, he tells of universally human ambivalences from which one simply cannot free oneself: Love and possession, company and loneliness. In the end, freedom is an illusion which creates its own dependencies.
