In “Miporin”, director Daiki Matsumoto works off the precipices of Japanese pop star economy. The dehumanization of the protagonists of this system becomes obvious in the conflict between the two main actresses. Matsumoto's dramaturgy and visualization are based on the Japanese horror films of the 70s and 80s: often exaggerated, gaudy and with a good pinch of humor against too much seriousness.
